Description

We are seeking a Physical Therapist II to join our team on a PRN basis, supporting four Atrium Health Inpatient facilities and three Acute Care facilities across the Charlotte Metro area.

The successful candidate will provide care to adult patients in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings, working a varied schedule that includes weekday availability for onboarding, weekend shifts, and holidays.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing age-appropriate patient care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan
  • Conducting patient evaluations, establishing care plans, and monitoring outcomes
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and communicate progress
  • Educating patients and caregivers on diagnosis, treatment, and home care instructions
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation, adhering to billing and insurance guidelines
  • Participating in performance improvement initiatives and staying up-to-date with evidence-based practices

Requirements:

  • Active Physical Therapy license in the state of employment
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Clinical experience consistent with independent physical therapy practice
  • Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • Multi-state licensure or experience practicing across multiple care settings
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
  • Prior float, multi-site, or diverse clinical setting experience
