Description

We are seeking a Project Manager, Strategic Communications to support the development and execution of strategic communications initiatives that advance Georgia Power's business objectives, strengthen stakeholder trust, and enhance the company's reputation.

The successful candidate will possess strong project management experience, business acumen, exceptional communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communications Strategy & Planning: Support development and execution of communications strategies that advance Georgia Power's business objectives, strengthen reputation, and build stakeholder trust.
  • Strategic Initiatives & Special Projects: Support execution of strategic priorities and special initiatives within Corporate Affairs.
  • Message Development & Narrative Management: Develop messaging frameworks, briefing materials, presentations, communications plans, and strategic content that support company priorities.
  • Corporate Affairs Planning & Coordination: Improve alignment across Corporate Affairs functions and key business partners.
  • Industry Issues Monitoring & Analysis: Maintain awareness of issues shaping Georgia Power and the utility industry.
  • Partner Enablement & Communications Support: Serve as a resource to internal teams on key company positions, strategic priorities, and emerging issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7–12 years of experience in strategic communications, corporate affairs, public affairs, government affairs, public policy, management consulting, corporate strategy, energy, technology, infrastructure, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the electric utility industry, energy markets, regulatory environments, and the issues shaping the future of energy.
  • Experience supporting strategic initiatives involving large-load customers, energy infrastructure, grid modernization, energy policy, data centers, hyperscaler growth, or emerging technologies is preferred.
