Network Engineer

Forward Networks is seeking a talented Network Engineer to work as part of its Network team.

Responsibilities:

• Extensive testing of features available in routing protocols like BGP, MPLS, MP-BGP, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, SR, etc., on multiple vendor platforms like Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.
• Teach the basics of networking technologies and terminology to software developers working on creating models for those networking technologies.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience operating large and complex networks
• Strong knowledge of Service Provider, Enterprise Networking, and Data Centre Technologies
• Deep understanding of the functionality of switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers
• One or more of the following certificates: CCIE, JNCIE, or VCDX
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to haves:

• Scripting or programming experience (Python, Perl, etc.)
• Familiarity with Ansible or other DevOps tools, Git, etc.
