Software Development Engineer

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a leader in cloud computing, we are pushing the boundaries of relational databases and seeking innovative solutions to complex problems related to scalability, availability, and durability.

You will be part of a core group responsible for the availability and durability of the world's largest fleet of relational databases on cloud. You will have the opportunity to brainstorm, mentor, and build software with our team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
• Analyze and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ year of designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing stateful Apache Flink applications
• Proven ability to build REST APIs for lifecycle management and deploy high-throughput, low-latency workloads on EKS/Kubernetes
