Description
The Boeing Company is seeking a Product Modification/Repair Technician to join our Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) team in Heath, OH.
As a Product Modification/Repair Technician, you will assist with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes. You will also assist with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Additionally, you will perform validation/verification testing of systems and components, fabricate and modify aerospace products according to specifications, and assist with tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with disassembly of systems components
- Assist with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components
- Fabricate and modify aerospace products according to specifications
- Assist with tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle
- Work under supervision
Basic Qualifications:
- Active U.S. Confidential Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED))
- 1+ years of experience working with tools and following work instructions
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Willingness to work with Beryllium and/or other chemical elements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the inspection of parts, components, assemblies or units
- 1+ years experience soldering and assembly of equipment components
- 1+ more years experience using handheld tools and/or power tools
- Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and specifications
- 1+ more years working under a microscope

Pay Range: $48,450 - $65,550
