We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bank Hand Therapist to join our Staffing Bank Team in our Physiotherapy department based at Spire Methley Park.
The hospital is situated in Methley in South Leeds and has recently completed a 7.6 million refurbishment, which included a new theatre equipped with cutting-edge technology enabling us to carry out complex surgery across a variety of clinical specialties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a high standard of specialist hand therapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice to patients within the physiotherapy department
- Manage conditions such as Trapeziectomy, Fasciotomy, Tendon repairs and wound management
- Discuss, agree and explain responsibilities for the therapy assessment of patients, including their needs and any associated risks
- Develop treatment plans using clinical reasoning skills, taking into consideration the patient's physiotherapy care, risks and wellbeing.
Requirements:
- Degree (BSc Hons in Physiotherapy) or equivalent
- HCPC registered
- At least 5 years’ post graduate experience
- Previous extensive experience in specialist hand therapy (physio or occupational therapist considered)
- Experience of assessing, diagnosing and treating specialist hand cases.
