Senior Accountant

Join Amazon MGM Studios in London as a Senior Accountant, supporting global television and motion picture activities.

Amazon MGM Studios is known for producing award-winning content, including Fleabag, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and The Boys.

As a Senior Accountant, you will:

• Support the accounting function for global television and motion picture activities
• Develop, implement, and improve accounting processes and procedures
• Perform month-end financial close accounting and financial reporting
• Analyze complex processes and systems data
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
• Provide analytical support to the finance and management team
• Work with cross-functional teams across the company

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• Knowledge of one or multiple accounting frameworks (US GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP)
• Fluency in English
• Experience with month-end closing processes and financial reporting
• Experience with controls or audits over financial reporting environments

Preferred qualifications:

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
• Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
