Alexandra House in Gloucester is seeking a compassionate Bank Support Worker to join their team.
The service provides residential support for nine males and females with learning disabilities, who may also have physical disabilities.
As a Support Worker, you will be part of a team committed to residents' wellbeing, using proven therapies to help individuals move forward with confidence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing personal care support with sensitivity to individual needs and preferences
- Supporting daily living skills to promote independence, such as dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Accompanying and assisting clients in community outings, ensuring safety and positive experiences
- Using de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour support strategies to manage challenging behaviours calmly and respectfully
The ideal candidate will be reliable, friendly, and caring, with natural empathy to support others through various challenges.
