Description
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.
The Physical Therapist will utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards, document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation, establish therapeutic plans, and modify them if necessary. They will also educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease
- Develop and implement physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents achieve their goals
- Utilize age-related treatments and evaluations relating to the needs of clients/patients/residents
- Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans
- Educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote the department and Sanford Health
- May be asked to supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services
Requirements:
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
- Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
