Description

Everlaw is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team. This is an amazing opportunity to launch your engineering career, make a real impact on their product and grow your skills with a team that's committed to your success.

You'll own complex product features from idea to full release, operating with significant autonomy across their entire tech stack to shape how legal teams uncover truth in vast amounts of data. You'll build systems end-to-end alongside a dedicated product lead and designer, focusing on deep code quality and long-term maintainability.

Responsibilities

  • Build new product features end-to-end, taking projects from initial architectural design through implementation and deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Developer Operations to design, build, and launch functionality seamlessly.
  • Maintain and improve the reliability of their platform by debugging complex issues across a large-scale codebase.
  • Contribute to system documentation and team knowledge-sharing to keep their codebase easy to navigate and maintain.
  • Partner with your dedicated onboarding mentor to ramp up quickly on their platform architecture, development practices, and product domains.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent coursework.
  • Experience and proficiency in coding in a compiled language (C++, Java, etc) and scripting language (Python, JavaScript, etc).
  • Strong foundational knowledge of computer science concepts, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Built and delivered software projects through class assignments, personal projects, or internships.
  • Strong strategic thinking and a collaborative approach to solving complex technical problems.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and environments.
  • Hands-on experience using Git or a similar version control system.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Held a campus leadership position or completed a technical research program.
