Youth Host - Dutch Speaking

We are seeking a Youth Host fluent in both Dutch and English to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for young cruisers on board. As a Youth Host, you will oversee Kids Club and teen events, ensuring a memorable experience for every young guest.

Reporting to the Assistant Cruise Director, you will lead activities in the Kids Club, ensuring all safety protocols and program guidelines are met while fostering a welcoming and inclusive space. This role requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, along with a passion for working with young guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with RAAS, USPH, and HESS guidelines in youth facilities.
• Complete and maintain Child Safeguarding certification.
• Host activities for kids and teens, including themed nights, trivia, sports, crafts, dance parties, and interactive games, in both English and Dutch.
• Maintain a safe and fun environment within the Kids Club, adhering to child safeguarding policies and company regulations.
• Manage daily schedules and coordinate activities to engage young guests with diverse interests.
• Provide exceptional customer service to children, teens, and their families.
• Maintain and organize equipment, supplies, and inventory for the Youth Program.
• Train and oversee Activities Crew assigned to Kids Club.
• Adapt to schedule changes and unexpected challenges while maintaining a positive guest experience.
• Serve as a brand ambassador onboard, representing the company and assisting guests with general inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental policies.
• Make public announcements to inform and excite young guests.
• Maintain a professional appearance according to company dress standards.
• Assist in other entertainment areas as directed by leadership.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Fluent in both Dutch and English.
• Three years of experience working with children aged 2-17 in a school or childcare setting, or similar cruise ship youth hosting experience.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience hosting events, activities, or parties.
• Experience using computers for various tasks.
• CPR and First Aid training preferred.
