Description
We are seeking a strategic procurement professional to join Elysium Healthcare as a Category Manager - Business Services. You will lead the development and delivery of category strategies across a diverse portfolio of corporate and operational services.
In this role, you will take ownership of a range of Business Services categories, working closely with stakeholders to develop and implement category strategies that deliver cost savings, improve supplier performance, mitigate risk, and ensure the organisation receives maximum value from its third-party expenditure.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading end-to-end sourcing activities, from understanding business requirements and market analysis through to tendering, contract negotiations, supplier selection, and implementation.
- Identifying opportunities for standardisation, supplier consolidation, demand management, and service improvement while ensuring procurement decisions support operational and organisational priorities.
- Driving measurable savings and value delivery through building robust business cases, managing sourcing pipelines, negotiating favourable commercial terms, and tracking benefits.
- Providing trusted commercial advice and challenging stakeholders where needed to support effective decision-making.
- Developing strong supplier relationships, overseeing contract performance, managing renewals and governance processes, and ensuring contracts deliver expected outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong understanding of category management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement best practices.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to identify savings opportunities and deliver value.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyse spend data and translate insights into practical recommendations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- MCIPS qualification or equivalent procurement experience desirable.
