Cover Security Officer

We are seeking a Cover Security Officer to join our team at the Legal & General owned Bh2 Leisure Centre in Bournemouth, working for ABM on a one-year fixed term contract.

The successful candidate will work 21 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 2 on 4 off, and be flexible to meet our requirements with reasonable notice for holiday and sickness cover.

The role involves maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel, providing a security contact for customers and staff, and deterring anti-social behaviour, theft, and criminal activity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Providing excellent customer service
• Liaising with the Police and management when required
• Completing reports and recording observations
• Dealing with difficult situations in a safe and professional manner

The ideal candidate will have:

• SG or DS licence essential
• CCTV required; training can be provided
• A full five-year checkable employment/education history
• Experience in corporate/retail security is desirable
• Experience in customer service is desirable
• Good organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer skills to include basic knowledge of MS Office
• Valid First Aid at Work certificate required; training can be provided
