Description

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our outpatient rehabilitation team at Carolinas Neurosurgery and Spine in Matthews, North Carolina.

As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating patients, selecting and administering assessment techniques, and developing individualized care plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating patients and creating personalized care plans
  • Gathering and interpreting data from medical records, physician reports, and patient interactions
  • Establishing functional goals with patients and providing evidence-based interventions
  • Documenting patient progress, treatments, and outcomes
  • Communicating with physicians, referral sources, and other clinical staff
  • Supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Technicians as needed

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
  • A valid state license for Physical Therapy
  • Basic Life Support certification

In terms of physical demands, the role requires:

  • Hearing and vision adequate for communication and reading
  • Intelligible speech and sufficient language/cognitive skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, kneel, twist, bend, crouch, crawl, and reach overhead
  • Lifting of patients, equipment, or supplies up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Lateral transfer of patients up to 100 pounds
