Description
As a Home Delivery Driver for Argos, you will provide an industry-leading fast-track service that brings Argos products to customers' doors.
You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it. You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview and, if you're successful, there'll be a driving assessment when you join us. You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver a variety of products to customers' doorsteps, on-time and in great condition
- Complete checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road to drive safely in a variety of locations and conditions
- Serve customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and keeping them aware of any delays
- Be confident in learning to use new technology to do your job brilliantly, comfortable driving a large vehicle in different locations from residential streets to country lanes
- When not on the road, you'll help maintain a slick operation in the stock room or on the shop floor
- Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
