We are seeking Manufacturing Optimization Engineer Interns for Summer 2027! This is a paid, in-person, 12-week internship.
As a Manufacturing Optimization Engineer Intern, you will work on projects supporting teams designing and building aerospace structures using carbon fiber composite material systems.
Responsibilities
- Receive problem statements guidelines, requirements, and reporting milestones
- Independently perform trade studies, designs, and generate solutions for approval
- Execute the procurement of hardware as necessary to implement solutions
- Test, verify, and demonstrate the effectiveness of your solutions
Required Qualifications
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.
- Ability to complete an in-person 12-week internship in one of our offices in summer 2027.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience leading project and working with data collection, analysis, and driving improvements.
- Hands-on experience with R/C and/or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or other related control systems
- Software scripting experience in any language
