Facilities Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift - Memphis

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will join a small team at SpaceXAI, contributing to the development and maintenance of technically advanced data centres. Your role involves collaborating with engineers and technicians to solve complex problems, manage multiple projects, and drive global impact.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers, managers, and customers to maintain systems in peak condition and develop work instructions for equipment preventative maintenance.
• Maintain and repair HVAC support equipment, including air handlers and cooling towers.
• Perform ductwork modifications, brazing, and soldering.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipes, fittings, and heating systems.
• Conduct hands-on shop work, disassembly, inspection, and testing of mechanical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and site regulations.
• Read and interpret schematics for assembly and repair.
• Perform failure assessments and safety inspections.
• Adjust and fabricate mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
• Present equipment maintenance statuses to internal and external customers.
• Operate various machinery, including forklifts and cranes.
• Use MS Office and SpaceX systems for communication and work tracking.
• Manage priorities with minimal guidance and follow site compliance regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• 3+ years of professional experience with HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical safety, and mechanical systems.
• Technical certification in HVAC, mechanical, or electrical systems.
• Experience with high-pressure gases and refrigeration systems.
• Familiarity with commercial building codes and technical language in specifications.
