Description

Spotify's Global Organic Social team manages how the company appears across its owned social channels. We're seeking a Social Strategy Manager, Brand Social to work on high-impact global marketing initiatives, including campaigns like Wrapped and Fan Life, and partnerships with other media brands.

You will drive social strategy for multiple cross-functional campaigns, collaborating with teams like Creative, Comms, and Entertainment Partnerships. Your goal is to translate marketing priorities into channel-native social strategies and make strategic decisions that bring ideas to life across social media.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end social strategy for high-impact global brand campaigns, partnerships, and cultural moments.
  • Translate integrated marketing strategies into social-first approaches native to each platform.
  • Lead multiple complex social workstreams from brief to execution.
  • Shape social briefs and collaborate with internal creative teams and external agencies.
  • Partner across Brand, Creative, Comms, Marketing, and external agencies to develop integrated campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities for Spotify to authentically participate in culture.
  • Lead social content-capture strategy for live events and experiential activations.
  • Partner with Legal and Communications to navigate approvals and sensitive issues.
  • Stay updated on platform evolution, creator trends, and emerging audience behaviors.
  • Develop frameworks, playbooks, and best practices for social strategy.
  • Define success metrics and evaluate campaign performance.
  • Champion social internally and present strategic concepts to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in owned and earned social media strategy or a related role.
  • Proven experience leading social strategy for integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to turn strategy into an executable plan and drive complex work.
  • Strong understanding of social media's role in the marketing funnel.
  • Experience with social analytics and establishing KPIs.
  • Effective relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable using social analytics to inform strategic decisions.

Location

  • This role can be based in Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY.
  • Flexible work arrangements with occasional in-person meetings.

Compensation

  • The United States base range for this position is $113,311 - $161,873 plus equity.
  • Benefits include health insurance, six-month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, and 13 paid flexible holidays.
