The Pharmacy Manager will oversee the operation of a small-format pharmacy site, focusing on safety, quality, customer experience, and team development. As a licensed Pharmacist, you will lead a team of technicians and pharmacists, ensuring performance objectives are met and positive employee relations are maintained.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, including same-day deliveries and prescription fulfillment
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness and potential interactions
- Set requirements and expectations for employees, measure performance, and provide feedback
- Educate pharmacy staff on policies and best practices
- Drive quality initiatives and process improvements
- Manage workflow, escalations, and delegate tasks to the leadership team
- Stay updated on local, state, and federal laws related to pharmacy practices
- Coordinate with the corporate legal team to maintain licensure and accreditation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in all states requiring Non-resident PIC
- Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws surrounding pharmacy practices and patient safety
Preferred qualifications:
- 2+ years of direct management experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment
- Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, and performance management
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Demonstrated ability to develop others into higher levels of leadership
