Morning MSJ Reporter

WTOL-TV Toledo, a CBS TEGNA affiliate, seeks an experienced Multi-Skilled Journalist to maintain its tradition of superior reporting and newsgathering.

The successful candidate will create unique, memorable, and well-written stories, shared on all platforms with outstanding photography and editing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform live shots in developing or breaking news situations
• Develop story ideas and find sources
• Identify, write, and produce stories within a specific framework
• Research facts and maintain sources
• Shoot, write, produce, and edit on-air and online content
• Use creative production techniques and social media to enhance stories
• Attend editorial meetings and offer story ideas daily

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of reporting experience preferred
• Solid news judgment, strong communication skills, creativity, and ethical decision-making
• Strong writing, production, and tease writing abilities
• ENPS, EDIUS, and Axis graphics experience preferred
• Organized with the ability to work under deadlines and handle live breaking news
• Proven social and digital content creation ability
• Knowledge of Toledo a plus
