Math/Science Teacher, Middle School (2026 - 2027 School Year)

We are seeking a Middle School Math/Science Teacher to join our team at one of our five middle schools.

Teachers at High Tech High strive to design learning experiences that reflect our design principles of equity, personalization, authentic work, and collaborative design.

Responsibilities:

• Embody High Tech High's design principles in all work activities and actions
• Create daily lesson plans with project-based assignments that are engaging, educational, and exciting for students
• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
• Incorporate goals, competencies, and objectives into lesson plans in ways that directly apply to students' lives
• Achieve school and course-wide performance goals for every student in class
• Grade assignments and homework regularly to keep students updated on their progress
• Identify students who are struggling with learning, emotional problems, or situations at home, and find them the resources they need

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Valid California Single Subject or Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential depending on assignment or Out-of-state teaching license
• Ability to efficiently and effectively manage time
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional administrative and organization skills
• Proficient knowledge of teaching strategies and methods
• Critical thinking skills
