Systems Development Manager – AVP – Post-Trade Systems – IT

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as a Systems Development Manager – AVP – Post-Trade Systems – IT. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and application support of HKEX’s market systems.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for system development and project implementation activities including business requirement analysis, application development, system testing, and documentation.
• Design and develop systems with modern technologies, such as Cloud and containers.
• Collaborate with teams across IT and business departments in various aspects.
• Provide production system support and performance tuning work.
• Work closely with mainland colleagues and travel to Shenzhen occasionally.
• Undertake any other assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in software development in large-scale systems and mission-critical in nature.
• Solid knowledge in Linux, Database, CI/CD, and Cloud technologies.
• Strong skills in programming languages: Java, Javascript, SQL, and shell programming.
• Experience in OpenAPI and application security (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, API security, etc.) will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in SDLC methodology and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Good analytic mind, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
