Description
As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be part of a highly dynamic and innovative quality engineering team working on the latest technologies. You will collaborate with engineers and product managers to deliver high-quality products, perform functional, regression, and smoke testing on new and existing products, and review functional and technical documentation to define requirements and create clear, well-structured test cases and plans.
Your primary focus will be manual testing as well as automated testing. You will drive software testing best practices, including performance, load, and security testing, develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases, and apply GitHub best practices and work within CI/CD processes.
The successful candidate possesses a strong sense of curiosity, demonstrates attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and an interest in continuous learning.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to deliver high-quality products
- Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing on new and existing products
- Review functional and technical documentation to define requirements and create clear, well-structured test cases and plans
- Execute manual test cases and report test results
- Drive software testing best practices, including performance, load, and security testing
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases
- Apply GitHub best practices and work within CI/CD processes
- Work with the organisational QA team to build product knowledge, resolve challenges, and share results
- Design, create, document, and implement test strategies, automation, tools, and processes
Requirements:
- 4+ years experience with object-oriented programming languages and techniques: Node, TypeScript, JS, Java, RDBMS, Rest APIs
- 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining test automation for Backend (predominantly), Web & Mobile Applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum QA environment
