Trucking Procurement Manager

Flexport is seeking a Drayage Procurement Manager to own procurement, pricing, and allocation strategy across the East Coast.

In this role, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining a competitive carrier network, negotiating rates and contracts, and serving as the market expert for your region.

Responsibilities:

• Source, vet, and onboard high-quality drayage carriers for East Coast markets.
• Act as the Drayage Market expert, providing regular market updates and insights.
• Manage carrier pricing through buy-side strategies and RFPs.
• Partner with Sales and Demand teams on client solutions and growth initiatives.
• Proactively identify opportunities to optimize Flexport's drayage network.
• Drive P&L performance through data inputs and business context.
• Collaborate with the Carrier Management team on service performance and technology adoption.
• Own and manage allocation strategy across your markets.
• Partner with the Procurement Technology team on new tool development.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree and 5-7+ years of experience in trucking, freight forwarding, or a related supply chain role.
• Proven experience in carrier or partner-facing roles including procurement and management functions.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach.
• Deep knowledge of the North American drayage market and industry trends.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

The US base salary range for this position is $74,500-$93,000 USD.
