Senior Risk Associate

We are seeking a Senior Risk Associate to join our Issues and Events Program team, supporting the Global Payments Network Risk and Advisory organization. As a Senior Risk Associate at Capital One, you will work with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to the company.

Responsibilities:

• Build partnerships with multiple first and second line teams and be recognized as a subject matter expert for event and issue governance
• Participate in defining the methodology and problem management process to show adherence to enterprise standard requirements
• Assist with the pre-closure quality review process of events and issues for closure
• Identify key areas of opportunity and trends
• Track and update process documentation
• Resolve or escalate impediments as needed
• Support the team with overall governance, reporting, and change management
• Assist with the creation and use of various reporting and program metrics for the broader team and senior leadership

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or military experience
• At least 1 year of risk management experience
• At least 1 year of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients
• At least 1 year of Google Suite experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of experience in project or process management
• 2+ years of experience in governance or risk management
• 2+ years of experience in change management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are:

• McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100
• Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100

This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
