Junior Preventative Maintenance Technician

Multimatic Inmet is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team. Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, this entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to grow in industrial maintenance, with exposure to hands-on repairs, vendor coordination, and project assistance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrode inspection and installation
• Conduct building systems preventative maintenance
• Clean, change filters, and coolant for Motoman, Fanuc, and Fronius welders
• Carry out daily preventative maintenance activities
• Lubricate various pieces of equipment
• Maintain washline
• Work with contractors
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
• Work overtime as required
• Comply with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards
• Work safely at all times and comply with all legislative requirements of the OHSA

Qualifications:

• 1-2 year Millwright pre-apprenticeship an asset
• Forklift license an asset
• DIY experience with mechanical/electrical repairs
• Experience with hand tools
• Related field experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic Excel and Word software skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Strong problem-solving techniques
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work day shift (8:00 AM - 4:10 PM)

The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be $32.00 - $49.00.
