Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in developing and integrating runtime machine learning solutions to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will report to a Leader of Engine Development and collaborate with game teams, central technology engineers, and researchers to deploy ML models directly within EA games.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, adapt, extend, and improve existing machine learning runtime technologies, and design and implement new solutions as needed.
  • Partner with ML experts across EA to assess, apply, and scale models and architectures for on-device performance.
  • Translate ML concepts, tradeoffs, risks, and technical constraints into clear language for different audiences.
  • Build end-to-end solutions for running machine learning models across various devices.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and well-tested code that integrates smoothly with existing systems.
  • Stay current with advancements in Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Generative AI, and related fields.
  • Contribute to Frostbite's and EA's ML/AI communities by sharing knowledge, collaborating with partners, and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with C++.
  • Understanding of multithreading and performance optimisation.
  • Experience profiling and optimising real-time software.
  • Practical experience with software engineering fundamentals, including version control, code reviews, documentation, automated testing, coding standards, CI/CD, issue tracking, and Agile development.
  • Knowledge of ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience building and shipping end-to-end ML systems in real-world production environments.
  • A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge of GPU programming.
  • Experience with game programming.
  • Knowledge of ONNX or other intermediate representations for ML model graphs.
