Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

As a Field Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for taking field-reported anomalies, reproducing them, finding the root cause, fixing them, and shipping the fixes.

Responsibilities:

  • Take a field-reported anomaly and figure out what subsystem it's actually in
  • Reproduce the issue for real using metrics and log infrastructure
  • Confirm the fix in a simulated environment before it goes near a real vehicle
  • Write the fix in the relevant language (Rust, C++, Python, Go)
  • Write down the root cause and fix for every issue closed

Requirements:

  • Real experience debugging code under time pressure with incomplete information
  • Comfort in at least two of Rust, modern C++, Python, Go
  • Systems-debugging instincts: pull logs and metrics, reconstruct what happened
  • Exposure to observability tooling (Prometheus/Grafana-class metrics, Loki/ELK-class logs)
  • Linux and systems fluency

Nice to have:

  • Robotics middleware, sensor drivers, or real-time data pipeline experience
  • Time in simulation-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop test setups
  • CI/CD and versioned deployment experience for embedded or fleet software

This is a real entry point, not a holding pen. Do this well and you'll know more of the stack than most people who joined doing greenfield feature work.
