Description
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team.
As a Physical Therapist, you will plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to help patients recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, spinal cord, brain injury, amputation, and other medically complex conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, balance, strength, gait, transfers, endurance, and overall functional independence.
- Utilize therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance activities, wheelchair mobility, stair training, and adaptive equipment to maximize patient outcomes.
- Follow patients throughout their rehabilitation stay, progressing treatment plans as patients achieve functional milestones.
- Collaborate closely with rehabilitation physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nursing, case management, and other members of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Qualifications:
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
- Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
- When applicable, may require valid driver's license.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
