Bachelor's Degree Level Paraprofessional

As a Paraprofessional with The Menta Education Group, you will work closely with classroom instructors and staff to provide targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school.

Responsibilities:

• Substitute teach as needed and act as a paraprofessional
• Manage classroom behaviors and report behavioral concerns to appropriate staff
• Implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data
• Maintain classroom order and safety, providing general supervision of students
• Assist in preventing and managing incidents of non-compliance and escalation in behavior
• Provide interventions to students to help manage behaviors
• Think quickly, independently, and tactfully in various situations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an education-related field, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, social work, health & human services, kinesiology, or a sports or physical education/rec related field
• Substitute Teacher Certificate required
• Security or Juvenile Justice background helpful
• Military veterans encouraged to apply
• At least 23 years of age
• Ability to work with high-risk special needs students
• Good driving record and willingness to drive a student van preferred

• Salary: USD 17.97-27.06 per hour
