Physical Therapist - Acute Care

We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our Acute Care team at Atrium Health Lincoln. As a PRN or weekender, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with a small-town feel and friendly atmosphere.

Job Summary: Evaluates patients and establishes appropriate patient care plans, including necessary modalities, procedures, exercise programs, and patient education.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates patients and develops patient care plans
• Gathers and interprets data from medical records, physician reports, and patients/families
• Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes, and discharge notes
• Re-evaluates patients as needed and modifies goals and treatment plans
• Communicates with physicians, referral sources, and clinical staff
• Provides patient and family education
• Directs and supervises Physical Therapist Assistants, Technicians, students, and volunteers

Physical Requirements:

• Hearing and vision adequate for communication and reading
• Intelligible speech and adequate language/cognitive skills
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, kneel, twist, bend, crouch, crawl, and reach overhead
• Lifting of patients, equipment, or supplies up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Applicable state license for Physical Therapy
• CPR Certification and BLS required
