2nd shift (3pm - 11pm) Seasonal Forklift Driver (Sur La Table)

We are seeking a Seasonal Forklift Driver to join our team at Sur La Table's distribution center. As a Seasonal Forklift Driver, you will contribute to the success of Sur La Table by safely moving product through the distribution center to service all internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and safely move, load, unload, store, and stack product using proper equipment in designated areas.
• Practice safe and secure material handling methods.
• Perform all required procedures and documentation in a safe and efficient manner to maintain the highest quality finished product to our customers.
• Meet quality and productivity standards.
• Work in cross-functional roles to assist in meeting daily productivity goals.
• Maintain general housekeeping, maintenance, and organization of work area.
• Accurately record time worked according to SLT policy.
• Follow all Sur La Table policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Essential Functions:

• Safely operate various types of forklift equipment.
• Work at varying heights, up to 25 feet.
• Communicate verbally and work cooperatively with employees, customers, and vendors.
• Adapt to change and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
• Work overtime and weekends as business dictates.
• Regularly lift and/or move merchandise weighing up to 35 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Grab, reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crouch to retrieve and/or replenish merchandise.
• Ascend and descend stairs to retrieve and/or move merchandise.
• Learn and operate general warehouse equipment (RF, Pallet Jack).
• Perform duties in an environment that is not climate-controlled and will be exposed to dust, odors, and noise.

Requirements:

• Prior distribution experience preferred.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and hand-held device preferred.
• 1-2 years standup forklift experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic math calculations for selecting, counting, and checking work.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Pay: $19.50 - $19.50 an hour
