Security Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment and lead the security team. The successful candidate will deliver excellence by establishing and enforcing robust security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Soft Services Manager in operational HR responsibilities to recruit, retain and develop the security team.
• Manage staff attendance & absence records in conjunction with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure rota is up to date and manpower coverage is maintained and all team members complete required shifts and duty hours as detailed on the duty rota.
• Deliver to all new starters a formal induction and site-specific training.
• Ensure objectives, performance reviews and Toolbox Talks are completed as per company policy.
• Identify training needs and ensure accurate site records are always maintained.
• Support the Soft Services Manager to ensure the necessary security audits are undertaken and any non-compliance highlighted and managed to completion.
• Manage excellent relationships with our client, our suppliers, and other partners.
• Deal efficiently and effectively with all emergencies including fire, ensuring the Centre team are kept fully informed.
• Lead the Security Team when dealing with incidents.
• Support and provide guidance to other site-based/centre staff.
• Liaise closely with statutory authorities, dealing with incidents and the provision of information.

Requirements:

• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal in English.
• Team leading experience with the overseeing the day-to-day running of the security team within a similar environment.
• High level of attention to detail & customer care awareness.
• Familiar with patrolling and monitoring from a loss prevention aspect.
• Confident in complying with Health & Safety and fire prevention procedures.
• SIA Guarding or Door Supervisor license.
• SIA CCTV license or the willingness to work towards.
