Description

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Job Summary: As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting composite parts and tools at various production stages to identify surface defects and verify dimensional accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough inspections of composite parts and tools using visual inspection, calipers, Go/no-go gauges, and FARO Arm
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, part lists, and inspection sheets against CAD models to confirm part compliance and identify discrepancies
  • Generate reports detailing deviations from engineering specifications and review with QA leads and production teams to troubleshoot issues
  • Document inspection activities, including measurement results, non-conformances, observations, and maintain quality records for traceability and audits
  • Provide recommendations for improving task inspection procedures and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the team
  • Work with Composites PM's/Quality leads to ensure timely delivery of purchased goods or meeting build schedules
  • Handle composites parts, tools, and materials with care, strictly following health and safety guidelines
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of all measurement devices in use
  • Maintain a clean, organized inspection area, in accordance with the 5s company standards assigned by the QA Lead
  • Advise management of potential problems or concerns and any opportunities for improvement
  • Perform other duties as determined by the Quality Leads, Quality Manager, or General Manager
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Follow all QS9000 procedures
  • Follow all company safety rules, policies, and procedures

Basic Requirements:

  • Proven proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation, including G.D.&T and technical specifications
  • College education or equivalent with a manufacturing/industrial background
  • Ability to use a variety of precision tools, including micrometers and calipers
  • Willingness to contribute to a collaborative team and work environment to help maintain a high-quality standard
  • Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and achieve set targets
  • Ability to focus during work hours
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
