Description
Hewlett Packard Labs is seeking a highly qualified Research Engineer for a full-time position in the Networking and Distributed Systems Lab. The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in Computer Science or Electrical & Computer Engineering, with a strong background in distributed systems, HPC and AI workloads, enterprise and telecommunication networks, cloud applications, and network protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Develop cutting-edge networked systems technologies, architectures, and systems for next-generation AI, HPC, Enterprise, and Telecommunication Infrastructure
- Research and develop innovative solutions in areas such as HPC, cloud, datacenter and enterprise networks, cloud, AI and HPC workload orchestration, WiFi/Cellular/NextG seamless communication, and more
- Collaborate with a diverse team to foster innovation and development of new ideas
Requirements:
- Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline, such as computer science, electrical or computer engineering
- Proven track record of world-class innovative research contributions
- Strong programming and system-building skills
- Highly desirable: C/C++, Python, Linux Kernel development, Network Stack, CUDA, PyTorch, K8s, TensorFlow, KNative, OpenvSwitch, and other control and orchestration platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
