Description
Princess Cruises is seeking an experienced and dynamic Fleet Traveling Manager, Production Stage Manager to provide fleetwide leadership, operational oversight, training, quality assurance, and project management support for entertainment operations across its global fleet.
This highly visible traveling role supports shipboard leadership teams in delivering safe, consistent, and exceptional entertainment experiences including production shows, guest entertainers, special events, and new product installations. The ideal candidate is a seasoned production leader with expertise in stage management, technical theater operations, team development, show quality standards, rehearsal management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Show Operations Leadership
- Support fleetwide delivery of production shows, guest entertainer performances, and entertainment programming.
- Conduct quality assurance visits and evaluate show quality, technical execution, and operational consistency.
- Attend rehearsals, technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and live performances to ensure compliance with Princess standards.
- Review and improve operational processes that enhance performance quality and guest satisfaction.
Show Installations & Project Management
- Lead or support new show installations, cast handovers, special event launches, and entertainment projects.
- Develop project documentation, rehearsal schedules, production paperwork, tracking sheets, and operational plans.
- Coordinate with creative teams, designers, vendors, contractors, and shipboard leadership throughout project execution.
- Oversee technical rehearsals and premiere performances while ensuring operational readiness.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote a safety-first culture across all entertainment operations.
- Ensure compliance with Fleet Regulations, HESS requirements, public health standards, and company policies.
- Support vessels in resolving audit findings and implementing corrective action plans.
- Reinforce safe backstage operations, PPE usage, risk assessments, safety reporting, and technical standards.
Training & Team Development
- Mentor and develop Senior Production Managers, Assistant Production Managers, Stage Crew, and Lounge Technicians.
- Provide coaching and operational guidance to strengthen leadership capability and technical performance.
- Support succession planning through evaluation, development, and promotion readiness initiatives.
- Ensure Show Bibles, SOP manuals, and operational documentation remain accurate and current.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor scenic inventory, production equipment, maintenance requirements, and replacement planning.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support procurement and budget management.
- Review onboard venue conditions and identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings.
- Prepare ship visit reports and provide recommendations for corrective actions and future enhancements.

Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in:
- Production Stage Management
- Technical Theater Leadership
- Entertainment Operations
- Large-scale Live Entertainment Productions
- Experience managing technical crews and entertainment teams.
- Experience overseeing multiple venues, productions, or entertainment projects simultaneously.
- Experience leading technical and dress rehearsals as well as live show operations.

- Cruise industry entertainment experience.
- Certifications in rigging, automation, audio, lighting, video, safety leadership, fall protection, electrical awareness, or related disciplines.
Travel Requirements
This is a fleet-traveling position that requires frequent international travel and assignments aboard Princess Cruises vessels worldwide. Candidates must be willing and able to travel extensively and support multiple projects, installations, inspections, and operational visits throughout the year.
