Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, Staff

You will be a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, Staff at Synopsys, a leading provider of engineering solutions from silicon to systems.

Your role involves administering and maintaining CentOS/ALMA Linux systems across Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud environments that support large-scale EDA compute farms and design workflows.

Key responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure at scale using Terraform and Ansible
• Monitor system health, capacity, and performance using Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Search, or Splunk
• Troubleshoot complex system, network, and application-level problems
• Manage license servers and batch scheduling systems
• Coordinate tool version upgrades and compatibility validation
• Participate in rotational shift work and on-call weekend coverage

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on Linux systems administration experience
• Strong proficiency with CentOS, ALMA, or similar Linux distributions
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Proven experience using Terraform and Ansible
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python
• Experience managing batch scheduling systems and license management tools
