Software Engineer

Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform, is seeking a Software Engineer. As a key member of the team, you will develop scalable computer systems to manage large volumes of information and drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and deploy adaptable rules systems to mitigate financial risk and improve efficiency.
• Build tools to ingest and process signals from various sources for partner teams.
• Participate in software development workflows, from design to large-scale deployment.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
• Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe's engineering teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in Software Development or a related occupation.
• Experience in Python, Ruby, Objective C, C++, or similar.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable systems.
• Ability to translate business needs into software requirements and designs.
• Experience debugging production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
• Experience with distributed systems.
