Description
We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to build for an audience of engineers. Our customers are the thousands of developers who ship Capital One's software every day, and our product is the CI/CD platform they build on.
As a Capital One Lead Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.
Responsibilities:
- Own the design and delivery of platform capabilities used by thousands of software pipelines across the company
- Help re-architect our CI/CD platform for a future where software is produced at a fundamentally higher rate
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects, providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across the organization
- Build compliance and control into the platform itself
- Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies
- Work across a deliberately broad stack , JVM languages, Go, Python, and TypeScript; containers and Kubernetes; distributed systems and workflow engines; and a wide range of AWS services
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 7+ years of experience coding with more than two of the following: Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, Scala
- 3+ years of experience with database and database management systems
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or cloud-based productivity tools or virtualization technologies
