Custodial Supervisor

High Tech High is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to oversee the evening and night time shift upkeep operations of its facilities in Point Loma, California.

The Custodial Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining procedures to ensure compliance
• Conducting inspections of facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Assigning workload and duties to and supervising maintenance staff
• Monitoring equipment inventory and ordering supplies as needed
• Conducting safety training meetings with maintenance staff
• Filling in for custodians who are sick or on vacation
• Tracking and approving time sheets of maintenance staff
• Keeping track of sick and vacation days
• Assisting with the hiring process of maintenance staff
• Monitoring expenses and maintaining the maintenance budget
• Preparing and coordinating deep cleaning schedules
• Coordinating and handling hazardous and other waste removal

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in a maintenance manager role
• Experience in planning maintenance operations
• Knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organisational and leadership skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) a plus
• Bilingual and able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently a plus

Working conditions include:

• Indoor and outdoor settings
• Travelling to and from multiple campuses
• May work some weekends and evenings
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, bending, and reaching

The salary range for this position is USD 28.26-32.47 per hour. High Tech High offers a comprehensive benefits plan.
