Job Purpose Managing the partnership between the business and Finance through key areas:
- Providing world-class finance partnering services and taking care of a number of partner functions, supporting them in planning and controlling their functional budget, identifying opportunities, and making recommendations for improvements.
- Supporting key stakeholders, including CFO and CEO and Head of Finance Business Partnering to drive effective and value-add decision-making insight and support.
- Process enhancements to improve the efficiency and accuracy of Finance work for key stakeholders at Prudential Vietnam Assurance, Strategic Business Group (SBG), and Group.
Job Responsibilities _1. Partnering as Strategic and Trusted Advisor-Finance Business Partner_
- Building strong relationships and working with business stakeholders to understand the business and provide value-adding support across financial performance and forecasting, advice, and analysis, and through business proposals.
- Optimizing operational and financial business performance at the department level through frequent formal/informal updates with stakeholders, including monthly cost centre review meetings.
- Facilitating annual and quarterly budgeting processes to align resource allocation with division strategic initiatives.
- Providing senior stakeholder updates on expense overruns/underruns and recommended actions and timelines.
- Advising business users in effectively completing EPs and ACRs and supporting them through the preparation and approvals process.
_2. Business Analysis and Budget Control_
- Supporting FBP in providing value-added and actionable advice for financial control processes.
- Managing annual budget exercises and monthly/quarterly rolling forecasts, and monthly accruals.
- Updating management about their expense KPIs and recommending practical remediation actions.
- Developing tools to support stakeholder understanding of budget positions and key areas of focus.
_3. Finance Business Partner Operation_
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing operational policies and procedures.
- Implementing data governance processes that are embedded within the organization’s data creation, management, and protection.
- Enhancing operational procedures, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting.
_4. Finance Project Management_
- Engaging with relevant stakeholders in all Finance projects to agree on implementation scope and deadlines.
- Monitoring and driving Finance projects in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure progress is not behind deadlines and spending is within budget.
Job Accountability
- Updating and maintaining FBP roles to align closely to the business to provide more effective Finance support on projects and expense management.
- Cooperating and influencing all other departments within Finance to reduce manual work, increase efficiency, and effectiveness of Finance processes and controls.
- Preparing periodical financial reports with accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and Group Office accounting policies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Computer Science, with a relevant professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CISA, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in finance business partnering.
- Strong ability to apply logical and critical thinking to resolve problems, and negotiate with and influence stakeholders.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong people management experience.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
