Exterior Parts Design Engineer / Component Owner

We are seeking an experienced Exterior Parts Design Engineer / Component Owner to join our team. As a Component Owner, you will be responsible for designated exterior parts and subsystems throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop exterior body parts such as bumpers, grilles, spoilers, and other related plastic components
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and drawings according to OEM standards and requirements
• Lead and coordinate technical activities across functions to ensure successful delivery of components and subsystems
• Plan and track design activities, results, schedules, and maturity status of assigned components
• Collaborate with suppliers to support development and industrialization activities
• Participate in DFMEA, tolerance analysis, design reviews, and validation activities to ensure robust and high-quality solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in automotive exterior component development
• In-depth knowledge of plastic component design and injection molding technologies
• Experience with automotive exterior systems and visible, Class-A surface components
• Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, Creo, NX, or similar CAD systems
• Knowledge of GD&T standards, tolerance chain analysis, and automotive product development processes
• Experience in coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams
