Description
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks Design Engineers to serve as Structural and Payload Design Engineers for our team in El Segundo, CA.
You will develop, maintain, interpret, and modify basic structural and payload system or Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) component designs using 3-D CAD tools, such as Creo Parametric.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new design and analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort.
- Validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Manage supplier development and test and production activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret requirements, define interfaces, and develop innovative integrated assembly designs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences).
- 1+ years of related experience for level 2, 3+ years for level 3, 5+ years for level 4.
- Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Experience in Space Hardware environments, such as satellites.
- Experience with structural engineering, payload engineering, or systems engineering.
- Experience with composite materials and processes.

Salary Range:
- Level 2: $90,950 - $123,050
- Level 3: $111,350 - $150,650
- Level 4: $135,150 - $182,850
