Description
As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer (RME) technician at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous operation of essential machinery across our sites.
You will perform proactive and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, respond to reactive repair requests, and diagnose faults in a functioning distribution centre.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting planned preventive maintenance tasks on site equipment to ensure they function properly and do not pose safety risks
- Responding quickly to equipment failures and investigating root causes to resolve issues as fast as possible
- Using the best tools to optimise equipment performance
- Adhering to all health and safety policies and practices
- Supporting the development and progression of apprentices on site
- Working on continuous improvement projects and implementing best practices across multiple EU sites
In this role, you will work closely with experienced colleagues to perform daily maintenance tasks such as painting and plumbing, and liaise with external subcontractors when necessary.

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Bac+2 qualification (e.g., Bac Pro, BTS, BUT) in industrial maintenance, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems and computer-aided maintenance management platforms
- Diagnostic capabilities for handling equipment and automated systems, with proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical plans
- Technical skills with conveyors, motor controllers, frequency converters, and sensors
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Proficiency in French (CEFR C1 or higher)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical qualifications: experience with electrical work and maintenance of motor controllers and frequency converters
- Automation: experience with programmable logic controllers (e.g., Siemens), field networks, robotics, and automated systems
- Traceability: mastery of scanner configuration and maintenance, and printing systems
- Maintenance 4.0: use of connected and predictive maintenance technologies
- Project management: experience in equipment installation; multilingual skills appreciated
- Conditioning: maintenance and tuning of automatic packaging machines
- Strong organisational sense and interpersonal skills
