Communications Officer (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking an experienced Communications Officer to deliver creative multi-channel communications that promote our wetland centres and encourage more people to come and experience them for themselves.

The role is a full-time 12-month fixed-term contract, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre, Gloucestershire. We support hybrid working, with an expectation for team members to be in Slimbridge at least once a week.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in delivering successful communications plans aimed at a diverse range of public audiences.
• A track record of delivering creative communications activity across a range of internal and external channels, including social media, PR, events, and digital content.
• The ability to seek out and tell stories aimed at raising an organisation's profile and driving action.
• A creative eye, with the ability to capture content and turn it into accessible, on-brand communications for social media channels and media and PR storytelling.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to build relationships externally and internally with a range of levels and stakeholders.
• Experience in planning and delivering events that support the achievement of organisational objectives.

The salary for this role is £32,630 per annum.
