Description
We are seeking a dedicated Public Protection Officer to join our Public Health and Noise Nuisance Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating nuisance issues including noise, smoke, odour, and light; and public health issues relating to drainage, refuse and pests.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills and confidence in handling potentially confrontational situations with the public
- Attending court as a witness when necessary
Essential qualifications and skills:
- A good standard of knowledge of legislation pertaining to statutory nuisance and demonstrable experience
We are looking for individuals that are confident in dealing with enforcement issues, with effective communication and investigative skills, a willingness to tackle non-compliance, and the aptitude of promoting a culture of close collaboration.
