Special Education Academic Coach I

We are seeking a Special Education Academic Coach I to assist students within the classroom setting and facilitate small group and individual instruction. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and motivate students.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with instruction and supervision of students with learning differences
• Assist with tutorial activities for individual or group students with learning differences
• Monitor student progress and provide input for evaluation and parent conferences
• Establish rapport with referred students to improve their behavior, educational performance, and social relationships
• Perform clerical support duties, including typing, completing documents, and record-keeping

Requirements:

• High School diploma/GED
• Associate's degree (or higher) or 48 or more eligible units of coursework at a recognized college or university
• Experience in a school/learning environment preferred
• Strong building relationships, communication, and teamwork skills

This is an hourly position that can work variable hours up to 35 per week. The salary range is $20.60 - $25.11 per hour.
