Description
We are seeking a Security Officer to join our team at Churchill Square Shopping Centre in Brighton. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of members of the public who visit the Centre.
The successful candidate will be employed as an ambassador for the site, creating and maintaining an environment in which all law-abiding members of the public can feel safe and secure. The role involves patrolling both front and back of house areas, deterring and reporting criminal behaviour, conducting health and safety checks, and supporting brand partners to effectively manage incidents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Patrolling front and back of house areas
- Deterring and reporting criminal behaviour
- Conducting health and safety checks
- Rotating static positions within the centre and car park
- Carrying out vacant unit checks
- Refusing entry to known offenders
- Supporting brand partners to effectively manage incidents
- Reporting defects and spillages within the Centre
- Taking part in training exercises to improve knowledge of site procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- Competence in dealing with members of the public
- A level of health and safety awareness
- Good knowledge of security industry and systems
- Punctuality and ability to follow procedures
- A professional and respectful demeanour
