Investment Operations Associate

We are seeking an Investment Operations Associate to join our Asia General Account Investment team. The team serves as the in-house investment manager for Manulife's Asia Segment's approximately USD 116 billion of life insurance company assets.

The successful candidate will assist the team with various responsibilities, including:

• Reviewing and producing financial reports, board reports, and other finance-related materials
• Performing financial and data analysis to develop insights and deliverables for management
• Supporting finance and business management activities, such as budgeting, forecasting, and expense analysis
• Assisting with reviewing and documenting investment and business processes
• Contributing to process and technology enhancements, including automation of manual activities
• Developing and maintaining investment tools, self-service reporting, and management information using tools like Excel, Power BI, and Python

The ideal candidate will have:

• An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline
• Internship or relevant experience in asset management, investments, or the broader financial services industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in financial analysis and investment processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in VBA, Python, Power BI, and other tools being an asset
