Vehicle Controls Platform Architect

Join the Ford Product Development team as a Vehicle Controls Platform Architect. You'll work on architecting and configuring the bedrock of our vehicle control systems, focusing on critical areas like diagnostics, watchdog, and non-volatile memory (NVM).

Responsibilities

• Architect and configure the vehicle control systems
• Ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of our software platform
• Debug and troubleshoot low-level processor resets and software issues
• Optimize performance through intelligent platform design
• Integrate diverse software components
• Analyze and troubleshoot vehicle/powertrain functional issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electronic and Communications Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation
• Experience with embedded software platforms and low-level device programming within the automotive domain
• Experience with integrating BSW, SIP, and LLDs from suppliers into Powertrain modules
• Experience with designing and architecting the low-level platform stack for powertrain modules
